Product Review
Takes several weeks for it to properly start working but, it achieves good results, need to keep using it or you go back to having to wait for it to take full effect. My dog doesn’t pick up on a smell or flavour so doesn’t bother at all when it’s in with his food.

Vet even recommended
Using this and brushing teeth with silicone finger brush or dog toothbrush. Initially told she would need to go under a general anaesthetic for moderate stage peridontal disease but reluctant as my dog is blind and 13 scared she wouldn’t make it. Another vet said just keep doing what youre doing as she is still eating and walking and had said he had seen worse she could go under GA and need loads of teeth out and be miserable and not eat at all so will submit before and after reviews in my next review as will definitely buy again

Honestly really does work. Couldn’t believe it!
I was sceptical, but faced with £350 to clean Polly’s teeth I thought it would be worth a go.We put two scoops in with her breakfast every day. It doesn’t happen overnight and we’re 2/3rds the way through a tub, but my god, it’s made a tremendous improvement on her brown plaque caking the tops of her teeth. It was nearly all the over all the tops of the teeth to gum junction. Now, only the two main large teeth have any left and that’s getting smaller by the week.I would say it’s taken 2-3 months of continuous use to get them to this point. But definitely worth it.Amazing stuff, no idea how it works but it does! 100% recommend and will continue with it for her.

Great product- really tell the difference
I was sceptical of this product but we thought we’d give it a go. Easy to use, can definitely see the difference after only a few weeks. Great for our dog who hates having her teeth brushed.

Plaque remover
I originally ordered this for my 2 cats as their teeth were showing signs of tartar and staining ( also bad breath ) and I didn’t want a massive vet bill for cleaning them. The cats are 10 and 11 so I was sceptical it would make much difference. ……How wrong I was…..this powder is great…….so good I now give it to my 2 years old dog to prevent tartar. The cats teeth and breath have drastically improved and everyone comments on how white my dogs teeth are. Would definitely recommend

Fast delivery, and so far so good
Very fast delivery. Only a very small tub, but you use so little each time, I’m sure it will last a long time. My fussy eater hasn’t turned her nose up, so the smell and taste must be ok, but I have no way of really knowing. So far so good. No adverse reactions to date (thank goodness). This was recommended by my vet, so I’m hopeful it does the trick.

Well worth the money..smelly breath no more!
So far so good! Purchased this after looking for something to deal with my doggies bad breath. After only using it for a week, the bad breath has disappeared! Yippeee! It doesn’t seem to impact the taste of her food either so I don’t need to mess around trying to conceal it. A very worthy purchase and has probably saves me a fortune in vets fees!

ProDen Plaque Off Powder
They say:‘ProDen Plaque Off is an easy way to help care for your pet’s teeth, and when used regularly it can help to control tartar and bad breath. PlaqueOff does not have to be applied directly on the teeth, but rather comes in a powder form that is sprinkled on your pet’s food. When the ingredients are absorbed into the blood via the digestion and enters the saliva, they prevent plaque by affecting the ability of plaque to ‘stick’ to surfaces in the mouth. Existing tartar also then becomes porous, and loosens by itself or can be easily removed by brushing or cleaning. It is made from seaweed, which has been found to have special beneficial effects for oral care, and contains 12 vitamins, 13 minerals & trace elements and is rich in natural iodine. It is free from artificial colours, preservatives, gluten and sugar.’Verdict:I initially purchased a smaller tub of PlaqueOff to test, unsure if my dog would accept it and if it did indeed work, as it is pricey. My dog is a 5, nearing 6, Pug/Jack Russell cross. I have had lots of issues with tartar control and I was desperate to find something that could boost the benefits of brushing his teeth, something he is not fond of. I was tempted to resort to dental cleaning at the vets but was very hesitant to put him through the procedure until I had exhausted all other options as he does have epilepsy and has had bad reactions during surgery in the past. The granules have been added to his dry food every day for almost a year. He is a very fussy eater and so I am always weary about adding supplements as in the past he has subsequently refused food even after stopping their use! With this, there was absolutely no hesitation and this has been sustained. The powder does have a very powerful seaweed smell when opening the tub, but this is obviously negligible even to his super-sensitive nose once sprinkled over his food. There is a small measuring spoon provided within the tub, so making sure the correct dosage is added is easy. There has been some negativity aimed at this product, but I believe this is largely through some owners believing this is a quick fix item to what is serious tartar build-up. It isn’t. Providing it is used as part of a complete oral healthcare routine, the product will boost results seen from these measures alone. This includes daily brushing and the provision of chews and toys that promote good dental care. The powers of PlaqueOff can only be seen if the dog is given items to actively scrub the plaque and tartar from their teeth as PlaqueOff loosens it!Alongside this, I use Logic Oral Hygiene Gel, another lifesaver which he loves the taste of, which can be used through the dog simply licking the product, though brushing does enhance results. For brushing, I use a Lintbells Microfibre Tooth Cleaner, which work better than a toothbrush. He also has a daily DentaStix and has plenty of chew toys and dental toys which promote gum health and help prevent tartar build up.Though this item is costly, it does not measure up to the debt racked up by veterinarian bills for dental cleaning! Now that I have observed good results and know he is tolerating it, I have bought a larger tub which brings the overall cost down. These tubs go a long, long way, so in the long run, the product has been very helpful and I would recommend it highly.Positive:- It works!!- Palatable- Simple to use- Large tubs reduce long term costsNegative:- Is quite costly- No noticeable reduction in bad breath

Works really well
This product I was a bit sceptical as I couldn’t understand how it worked both my dogs had plaque and one the vet thought needed to have them cleaned which means an anaesthetic which I didn’t like the idea. I started with this product and within a month I saw a real difference. I now get it on subscription and will use it every day. It is easy to use as you mix a small amount to their meal and the dogs haven’t noticed it and eat their meals no problem.

Wow. This really works fast.
Red was 1 week of using. Green 2 weeks later. My 8year old lab (adopted), would never let me or previous owner brush her teeth. Wish I took pictures of her fangs and gums before using after a week, which were dark brown and gums are now pink and not so swollen. Will post pics of her front teeth in another few weeks, but had used for a week at that time (red photo. Green 2 weeks later. Research suggesting more effective than brushing. Easy to use in food and works systemically. No side effects and all natural. Except thyroid disorders.

So far so good
I was sceptical but willing to give this a go. I’m happy to say that after a week there is a notable difference to both his teeth and breath. Tartar has reduced significantly and I’m looking forward to wee what another week does! Easy to use, we sprinkle it on his food in the morning – I’ll happily buy it again if the results keep going in the same direction

It really works but please read on…….
I was sceptical about this, but with eight dogs, I just can’t brush all their teeth every day, so I hoped it might help.My old Rough Collies had thick tartar on their back teeth, clearly pushing against their gums. Even worse, my two year old Labrador had the same thick tartar but his gums had a thin red and inflamed line above the tartar. This is in spite of a healthy diet and hide chews (we can no longer give them raw bones because it causes WW3). All their front teeth were clean. So, I used this as directed and after four weeks the Labrador’s tartar had completely disappeared! I couldn’t believe it. The collies’ tartar was still mostly there but I found I could just flip it off with my finger nail it was so ready to fall off. This would have been impossible before using this product. The downside is that it is so expensive so I did some research. I didn’t want some cheaper lower grade product with goodness knows what in it, so I had a look at alternative sources of a high grade equivalent.D1070 (as listed as the ingredient of Plaque-off) is a seaweed called Ascophyllum nodosum, or kelp. The well-known and trusted brand of Napiers the Herbalists sell this exact same product on Amazon.(see below)I was buying 60g of Plaque-off for £7.99. A kilo of the same thing from Napiers is £41.50 (with postage). If you are thinking this sounds a lot, consider this: the cost of Plaque-off at the current price, for 1 kilo is £133! (see below for update)You can probably buy smaller quantities from Napiers, but we bought 1 kilo and now all the family use it (including the dogs) and our dentist said on a recent visit that none of us need the hygienist, which has never happened before. You can imagine how happy we are about this.It is known that, as long as you have no contra-indicative health issues, kelp is very beneficial to heath. It is a natural source of vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D and E, as well as minerals including zinc, iodine, magnesium, iron, potassium, copper and calcium. In fact it contains the highest natural concentration of calcium of any food – 10 times more than milk.I am grateful to the Plaque-off producers for introducing us to the amazing benefits to our teeth of kelp. However, the outrageously over-priced product from them has driven us to Napiers as suppliers, and we trust Napiers high quality.I have given 5 stars because the product works incredibly well. Napiers Ascophyllum Nodosum – Seaweed Granules 1kg.Edit: as you’ll see from comments below, the Napiers seaweed was not available on Amazon any more, but in the meantime, I am ordering directly from Napiers who do have it in stock and is less expensive than I said above. They also include a brilliant book about the benefits of seaweed for your health – I was amazed how important it is.There are other people selling 500g , or 1kg packs of kelp on Amazon too, some cheaper, but I worry that some might not be the real pure product, and I completely trust Napiers, who are a highly reputable old company, so personally I will be ordering from them direct.

Vet recommended
A build up of tartar was identified at my 6 yr old dog’s annual vet’s check up. Whilst not affecting his gums yet, the vet said as he ages it might so suggested taking action now. She recommend this product. Just have to add a small scoop to his food.

It works, insanely fast too
Today is the 9/02 and we only started using this for our elderly greyhound 4/02 and the difference is unreal, his canines were covered it grey plaque from bottom almost to tip and i swear almost 80% of the plaque has already disappeared and the white in his teeth are alot whiter. I was mentally preparing myself to take him for a dental clean all though reluctant due to his age and risks with anethesia but i honestly dont think he will need to now. No matter how bad your dogs teeth are covered with plaque please try this before doing anything else as it does actually work. It is pricey but worth its weight in gold for how well and quick it works!!

Super stuff, does the trick, sure it takes a while but it’s well worth it.
Bought some on recommendation from a friend who works for the RSPCA.I have two cats over 15 who both have tooth problems and bad plaque. After trying to brush their teeth regularly I was getting quite distressed, one of them has a heart murmur so with her age anaesthetic really isn’t an option (for a full cleaning) .Tried it and wasn’t sure if it was my imagination for the first month or so,now a couple of months on i can happily say i have cats whos breath doesn’t make me wince or retch any more, they seem happier and I am convinced it works.Previous to using this at a vets visit they physically scraped a lump of tartar of back teeth of both cats,in one cat a tooth also came away it was that bad, and continued with the brushing…both cats just seemed old and shabby because of it.After using it for a while one of the cats saw another vet recently and the verdict was that her teeth were quite good for her age! That makes it worth every penny in my book.I can stand having her lick my chin again (thankfully cause she likes doing that).combined with switching off frontline, because it no longer works and they were getting fleas, and I’ve basically got a pair of rejuvenated cats :)I want some for myself too now.I know some people have issues with cats refusing food with it in – my girls did the first time when I sprinkled it on top. However i very quickly discovered it’s the loose powder they don’t trust, if I make a dip in the food and put the powder in there, and put a bit of jelly or gravy on top (or even better mix it in with a bit of gravy or sandwich it in two lumps of jelly)then it gets happily eaten (and these are cats who will lick around the crumbs of medicine in their food usually). It says half a scoop for cats up to a certain size and mine are both quite small so we use about 1/3 of a scoop each in their breakfast. Realistically the tub is likely to last me most of the rest of the year for my two cats I think.totally excellent value, and like i say, I want some for me too now.

Really does work!
First off I’ll say when you first buy the product you think it’s going to come in a tub the size of the protein powder ones and it doesn’t it is tiny. BUT a little goes a long way and sprinkled onto my dogs food is making a real difference to her teeth. I read the reviews to that mentioned noticing a difference could take a few weeks and I took this on board. We are now into about the 3rd week of daily use and there has definitely been an improvement, we will continue to use this and see how it goes. Has also made her eat her tea more enthusiastically as mam announces that she’s putting sprinkles on in a high pitched voices and she guzzles it all up. Happy days!

Dental care for dogs.
First time using this. I have tried lots of different types and none have worked out. It’s too soon for me to make any kind of judgement about the product. As it can take between 3-8 weeks before I would see a difference. Only been using it for one week so far. But my dog likes it and that’s a good thing for me.

Massive improvement
I’ve waited 7 weeks since purchase to submit my review and pleased to say already seeing a massive improvement. My 5yr old black lab retriever has had regular tooth brushing since being a pup but as he’s getting a little older we’d noticed plaque building up on his back teeth and our vet suggested this product to avoid further build up and the need for an anaesthetic on him to remove it.Can’t believe how quickly this product has started to remove that build up, he also generally has a much whiter smile, cleaning all his teeth to a brighter white, I never took close up photos before unfortunately. For anyone wondering about taste/flavour etc, my normally very fussy lab (can’t get a worming tablet near him, no matter how well hidden or disguised) yet he has never turned down his food with this added, not even a little bit suss, just eats it as he usually does.May seem a little pricey but in my opinion, it works and is cheaper and more preferable than a veterinary dentistry procedure and subsequent bill!

Makes my cat less dribbly!
My cat hasn’t got very many teeth left but we’re trying to look after the few remaining after he had lots extracted. Due to not having many teeth he can be quite dribbly especially when eating. I’ve noticed after starting him on plaque off he is a lot less dribbly.
