Applaws is definitely safe after the recall
I had been put off buying Applaws after the recall in 2021. I’ve since emailed them and they assure me that its made in a different factory and the recall is long in the past. Its completely safe.I had been feeding Encore wet&dry food which is made by the same company as Applaws. Just different branding.This wet food is very reasonably priced. It actually looks like chicken and not brown mush!!! They have lots of different flavoured multipacks. If kitty likes fish more or is a chicken fan. This wet food has them covered!As you probably know….Its only a complimentary food, so it doesn’t have all the necessary vitamins and minerals. So you’ll need to provide dry food too. 24 cans for £16 was a bargain. It has high quality ingredients and is gentle on sensitive bellies. My rescue boy has stomach and number 2 issues but with this, I have not even needed probiotics.I mix their wet food with their Natures Variety dry food or (Applaws). Twice a day. Quarter of a can each per serving. So it lasts along time.It has rice it in, but thats much better than most other wet food.Our kitties don’t ask for much and they give us so much love. The least we can do is make sure they love the food we give them and its healthy enough to keep them well for many many years!Please don’t feed friskies, or whiskers or meow mix, type junk food. Bad for teeth. Full of sugar and grain…. Spend a little more. That way they wont waste it and you’ll find that its actually cheaper and better to buy a better food. Just my opinion.I am pretty sure your baby , however fussy will take to this food very well. Will be gobbling it all up, dry food as well! My cats are fussy and hate change but they love this food.

My cats love it
Easy to open boxes/tins in terms of packaging.Looks good enough to eat myself. Literally natural ingredients in every tin. Rice, meat/fish/poultry & broth.My cats like it. It’s pricier than Felixstowe, whiskers etc but better quality.Looks like fresh ingredients.Doesn’t smell bad like some.

Many of you know how difficult it is to please one, let alone two cats with food. They can definitely be fussy with food and treats.. both like this though and get excited about it.This is a great complimentary food..The only downside is (it’s complementary ) and can’t be given as a complete..but great little extra on top of their normal complete food.

Love this food topper
I buy Applaws regularly as a topper for my cats food. It’s great for adding real meat to their diet and also upping their liquid intake, especially when giving the “in broth” cans. Lovely fine texture of meat and fish which my toothless kitty and eat easily and comfortably. Lovely fresh looking meat and perfect size tins for a yummy and nutritional topper.
